Hey guys, I've been in the community for a while, albeit not posting as much as I should. I love and am thankful to you all for your hard work and advice over the years. The reason I'm here today is because I'm in a blind spot right now and would really, really appreciate some input.
Can a page going viral give boost to main site?

Hey guys,
I've been in the community for a while, albeit not posting as much as I should. I love and am thankful to you all for your hard work and advice over the years. The reason I'm here today is because I'm in a blind spot right now and would really, really appreciate some input.
This will probably make me sound like a newbie, but here goes-
I set up a blog about my topic and created blog posts and engagements on social media about a month ago. A few days ago, I've had an article go viral that resulted in many high page-ranking websites linking to my website. The problem is, none of these links are referencing the exact key-word phrase I wanted, so now I have a blog post that has great trust and citation flow, however my main page has nothing. My question is this- Can all the metrics/attention that one particular blog post has been getting give juice to my website as a whole and value it in Google's eyes? Or will I have to make another epic blog post and have it be a feature on my main page to gain any traction there.
Again, I am really thankful for any input.
