Ranking in your local google search?

Hi guys,

About 1-2 weeks ago I optimised a page on my website for a certain keyword.

This has been ranked for US google which is good, fairly high.

But on my local google, UK, it hasn't been ranked at all? any ideas why?

    Use google map and type in your exact physical address and paste it on your site. This will only work if you have a physical mailing address not a P.O. Box. You can also add your location on yellow pages and yelp with your physical address. You could also pay people to leave a few positive reviews. Good luck.

    Your address might not be good in Google Maps, you might have missed some location names in address.

      You have to check your google webmaster which target country you selected there most probability of the us country change it to the uk

    Thanks guys,

    I have now embeded our google map location into the website so fingers crossed google now picks us up for it.

    I didnt notice that option in google webmaster tools, but my worry is that it will unrank us for the US google if I was to do this. I would like both if possible.

      As far as much as I tried there is no option to target more countries,just one which isn't really good.Google could really improve that option.
