Hi I'm interested- should I NoIndex such pages like thank you page, squeeze page, which gives no value from seo perspective for my website. There could be written just several sentences or offer to connect me on social media etc?

Why I'm asking- in the future may appear more and more of these, while working with affiliate marketing.
#noindex #pages #pages or post #post #seo

Nah, that effort would be pointless. Pagerank Scuplting hasn't worked for years https://www.mattcutts.com/blog/pagerank-sculpting/

      It's not about PageRank sculpting.

And yes, I would consider adding noindex to some of those pages.

Not sure I would do it for a squeeze page though. Don't you want traffic to find that page?

You can noindex your category pages, archive pages etc. If you are ranking a different landing page then category pages, archive pages, author page etc. has nothing to do and might be reason of duplicate contents as the same articles will be shown on post and pages and exerpt/full posts will be shown on cat, arch etc. pages.

I would absolutely not noindex category pages. Those are great pages to rank, especially if you are using a silo structure.

I said if OP not willing to rank category pages then he/she can no index the pages. The main problem is if exerpt is not enabled and if the category pages are showing full posts then websites might flagged as duplicate content container by google. This is why I recommended him to no index category pages (but again if he/she doesn't want to rank category pages).

If you are using canonical tags, the duplicate content is not an issue.

No reason to noindex category pages.

Some of those pages deserve to be noindexed, like the thank you pages and tag pages. The rest should be indexed.

In case you have wordpress website, don't do noindex on tag an category pages ! I only does it in my archives page and author page, nothing else. Tags and categories in WP are great to rank for a long tail keywords.

Thats the problem- blog posts are ranking and pages might be ranking as well.
I'm not talking about archives, categories, tags.
How can I rank one squeeze page with lets say 3 sentences and image or video- it is with lean content- unless it is very unique. Lets say product sale using at least 300 word description (counts just example). But my strategy is to build squeeze pages in short way: catchy headline--> several sentences--> image or video--> attractive "call to action" and it is because I'm selling not my own, but other's person product- most of the vendors got well done landing pages. As far as I know Google do not like such things and you will not rank these short.
So after some time It may happen there will be 10 - 20 or more such pages.

You may wonder why do I need that: so every single product can have own squeeze page and I can drive traffic by inserting links in my relative blog posts, solo ads, click banking and etc. As well I could more easy to segment my email list- I could even make list for each sold product.

On the other hand, I got a page to be #3 for several months for a medium difficulty keyword with just the page title on it (contained keyword, and keyword was in URL).

I've also come across totally blank pages on page 1 when doing research.

So, Google... doesn't rank... little content = meh.

If you are not expecting or trying to get any traffic from search engines, you can noindex the squeeze pages. That said, I wouldn't advise you to do so. Google ranks pages with just 1 sentence, so ranking your squeeze pages with just 3 sentences is definitely possible but they may be classified as thin affiliate pages and penalised during a panda update, so be careful. Make sure your site contains other pages with substantial textual content.

Yeah, You should use no index & no follow attribute to some pages and posts cause its mean nothing to search engines . Its may harm your ranking as well.

No index will be used for less importance pages while if you think your thank you and squeeze page is less important then keep it as No index or else proceed as Index
