I have two new clients search-wire.com and rmprop.com related to real estate and property management niche respectively.

Both are from USA. But its seem that real estate keywords are much difficult to rank.

Rmprop have local map listing but search-wire do not have. So any one suggest best way to promote those websites?

New techniques for local promotion?

Real estate and property management are indeed very competitive. I'd focus on targeting longer keyphrases which may be easier to rank for. You're gonna need to make sure they have big sites and multiple pages targeting multiple keyphrases. You also need to be prepared to do allot of backlink building for those niches!

Generally it depends on the area, but usually it is fairly competitive. If it is a big city market, it can more difficult than a lot of national keywords are to rank.

you should build a nice blog and optimise on page seo first. then start link building from highly relevant websites using infographics and email outreach. ranking in that niche is very very difficult due to the economical benefits.

Real estate keywords are very competitive so try to use other keywords or long keywords/keyphrases as suggested above. In my opinion, everything in SEO are difficult especially if you're a new website as you need to double your effort to market your services and rank on Google.

Do not avoid keywords for a real estate business just because they are difficult. Their competitors are not doing that.

For property and real estate, if you have trulia, yelp, redfin, realtor and zillow at the top, not hard to beat them. But they're forever adding links, so you can't rank and do nothing for a while.

It's not easy but not hard. It's easy to get traffic if you don't go for
Huston real estate or condos for sale in Huston only
but go for Chicago neighborhood condos for sale
      Chicago Suburb condos for sale.

For those, you'd probably end up at the bottom of page 1 with average on-page SEO. Good on-page SEO should get you #4 or 5.

Get citations and a handful of links from local sites/blogs in the same industries and you'll get to be #1.

You might think for smaller cities it's going to be easier; not true: Realtor.com, Trulia.com, Zillow.com, Redfin.com, they've got at least 1 page for every keyword you can think of.

Depends on your local market. Overall, it's incredibly competitive.

My biggest tip is to check out some of the tools over at Moz .com and look at their "SEO Guide" to get an understanding of the work ahead.
(No affiliation with them, I just love their tools)

Focus on Maps. For real estate, that is the way to go.

Because, if the 7-pack is at #5 and my page is at #1, people aren't going to click on my page?

If you make such strong statements, kindly be useful, tell us why.
