Citation Flow and Trust Flow?

I'm using (the free version of) Market Samurai for keyword and competition research. I know tha the tool is old and quite slow but that's the tool that I first used as a wannabe marketer and I love it lol.

But let's get to the point. Those of you who have used Majestic and/or MS know that there are the CF (citation flow) and TF (trust flow) metrics. Do any of those mean anyhing important when researching the competition. Should I take them into consideration?

I'm researching niches and I've stumbled upon keywords that have only 3 pages with PR 4 and the rest is 0 on page one. Only one has good on-page SEO, but they have 20+CF/TF, with 30 being the average for either, and a good amount of backlinks. Should I aim for something low, or should I go for it?

Does it mean anything at all? I know that they are connected to some Yahoo and Google scores, but I don't know how much importance i should put into those.

The problem is . . . you really don't know if or how they are used in Yahoo and Google rankings. And as a result, you don't know how important they are or whether they are worth worrying about.

In my opinion, you worry about and work on things you can control - not those that you have no control over.

I think you're placing too much emphasis on PR. You do realize that the "page" in PR stands for Larry Page, one of the owners, not "page" as in a page in a web site?

The thing is that one of them is based on a Google statistic. There was even a research that found a relative formula for it. I'm just curious whether in 2014/15 such metrics matter. I'm noticing that a lot of powerful domanis are ranking their inner pages easily, without on-page SEO, backlints, whatsoever.

I believe citation flow, trust flow, page authority, domain authority, and mozrank should all be looked at and taken into consideration. If the numbers look good then that's at least some place to start. You should still look at the names and manually analyze them to be sure. I think ahrefs is the best for that!

i think the trust factor shows that is it professional blog or not? or you can trust on the content of this website or not?

Now point is how it can be increase-

i think by addding proper quality pages , making privacy policy, about us etc and getting good high PR links takes into consideration while deciding trust factor.

I don't know more about citation flow.
