If you are looking for negative SEO, Fiverr is a great source. For anything else related to SEO, it is worthless.

Tis a bit harsh Mike, some gigs on there are useful, the Aref report was cheap, some also offer Wikipedia editing, <grins>, so all is not lost.

But Mike is right, most of it is useless and will harm your rankings, for tools or posting articles to say CNN, Wikipedia, Google News, other top sites could be quite effective, all depends on what you purchase and more so on the content you deliver to these sites.

Some SEO gigs are effective. Like 5 backlink for $5. You will find few gigs are offering 100-200 backlink for $5. I suggest you to stay away from those gigs.

good advice, if you plan to spend money on SEO giggs, read negative comments on the sellers those say more then the possitive ones. Also dont go for quantity, rather a few but high quality links.

I agree with you. Go for quality not for quantity. One high quality backlink is much more effective than 50 low quality backlink. Feedback is a great source to get an idea about the gig. When you are going to select someone, you should consider about these areas.

      This is good advice!
There are a ton of people who offer bad service on Fiverr, because they're looking to get rich with little effort. And it's tempting to pay only $5 and get a ton of benefits (or so they say).

I also suggest you look at everyone's reviews, when someone is not pleased with the results, they're not shy to share the reason why.

My Views on fiverr are known here, totaly worthless, crap, automated bullshit, that only an idiot would invest in, nothing positive will come out of fiverr for SEO, its a terrible ploy for your websites to use their seo services. logos and other cool graphics.. sure, no problem, SEO?.. the nightmare awaits.. everything about fiverr just seems so bloody fake, from the services, the sellers, and most definatley the comments,

do yourself a favour my man and go for quality, sure its extra cash but money well spent in the end, never get dragged in by the cheap

Some SEO gigs works and most of the gig's doesn't work. You might get penalized by google if you buy cheap backlinks from fiverr. So you need to be careful before buying fiverr SEO gigs.

You know, from my experiences with fiverr, all links that i've got by purchasing $5 gigs are gone Most link building gigs are crap (unless you pay $30-$50 for the service) - They use automated software to create accounts and links and those accounts are getting deleted by the webmasters once they realize is spam. I don't recommend it

Not at all... many people leave a feedback after it is delivered, and they even don't realize for the next few months they are deindexed... after that... who even thinks about fiverr (or they even might believe it is something that they did, not fiverr).

SEO gigs are usable, but only if you know 100% what you are doing!

    Fiver for SEO?

Five bucks is the going rate for a middle of the road cheeseburger from a fast food joint.

    Be serious with yourself.

Would you do anything meaningful that is going to have any serious kind of impact for an internet presence for a cheeseburger?

There is very little in terms of good SEO gigs on fiverr. SEO has become very difficult. You aren't going to get a lot for $5

Don't rely blindly on all Fiverr gigs, especially the cheaper ones. Once I tried and it went well for the first time. I used the same service a month after but that badly hurt one of my sites ranking and that never came up again i rankings so I finally ended up dropping that.

If you are doing something simple and more straightforward like manual web 2.0 creation or social bookmarking then fiverr is ok, but if you are doing something that requires genuine effort or expertise then no.

Hi, those stuffs works, but you have to be experienced and do them right. Else, big G slaps.

Meanwhile, a lot of people talk bad about Fiverr SEO gigs, I have got some good gigs there in the past. The only problem is that there are a lot of bad eggs and you have to do some work that requires experience in weeding them all away.

After you have done this, you have the good ones to choose from. If you can't do this, please stay away to avoid penalties. I hope that helps

Most of their services are bad or don't help at all. Most of their links is just spam. Especially if they offer more than 10 links for $5.

My thoughts on Fiverr for SEO.

Most web 2.0 gigs are either deleted by host or are never indexed making them useless.

Most only offer 1 - 3 anchor texts - if you get 200 links and 1/3 are 'paleo diet recipes', say goodbye to your website!

There are some gigs out there that I find useful, but only ever use as tier 2 links.
There are a few gigs that will build some manual blog do-follow comments, which I have used for my Web 2.0s as 2nd tier links.
there are some Web 2.0 gigs advertised as tier1 and tier2 links that I have used for my tier2 and tier3. Still a risk, but keeps your own site relatively safe.

The other kind of gig that is ok, are those ones where people offer to help you with on page analysis, keyword research or backlink analysis with expensive tools that you can't afford to buy yourself.

If you don't understand about social bookmarking and SEO, then stay far away from Fiverr SEO gigs. NEVER trust any reviews or ratings on SEO gigs on Fiverr. Most people have no clue about SEO, so they give 5 stars even for gigs that are totally bogus. I ordered a video backlinking gig and a few others just to see the quality. I was expecting garbage and my expectations were met.
Definitely don't fall for any of those "SEO your wordpress site" gigs...all those guys do is install a free WP plugin like Yoast.
There are SEO strategies that you can use certain fiverr gigs for, but until you really know what you're doing, stay far away from Fiverr SEO gigs.

You will never find out until you experienced their service and you can rely on the reviews but awareness will be your first defense against scams.

Much of the Fiverr work is done with automation, you might find getting into 5 or so major bookmarking sites may be almost as effective as 300 no name junk sites, that may actually damage your backlink profile.

Bookmarking site links don't do much for you unless a lot of accounts on a single site recommend you, potentially getting you mentioned in the front pages of one of these sites.

Social bookmarking as source of 10% of your links might be a decent proportion.

One advanced SEO guy compard Fiverr results with freelancers hired from webmaster, blackhat sties, the freelancer services were more effective SEO factors.

Like everywhere - some gigs are OK, some - not. You have to choose the right one. If you want to get traffic for your gig, you have to advertise it somewhere. When you hit 10 nice reviews, the orders will start to grow!

You can use Fiverr for 2nd tier link building. There are various service provider who offer good SEO services but still good for 2nd or 3 tier link building.

If you look for quantity then you will get negative SEO from there. If look for quality research on gigs which you require. Watch Customer satisfaction review . And then i hope you can take your decision.
