Basic Web Page Question

Lets say I have an ecommerce website with several different categories. Here's the question...is the entire category considered one web page, or, does each product within that category have its own page? For example, if I have category with 100 different product images and descriptions in it how many pages is that, 1 or 101? I hope y'all understand the question, thanks.

  • If it has a page, then yes they count as a page.

Does each product have its own page or is it just a giant page full of descriptions that all lead to the same checkout page?
  • Every product has it's own page, so it's like 100 product pages within 1 global category.
  • As long as each product has a unique page that is click-able from the category page, the number of pages is 101 (100 product pages and 1 category page).
  • What Chris Lee said. Do you have separate pages for each product? I mean, on your category page, the one with 100 descriptions and photos, can you click on a product and see it separately?
  • According to me one category should be considered as one page. However, defining the web pages also depends on your product profile. The placement of the products should be such that people should be able to browse various product types and categories easily.
  • If every product have different page then 101 and if product is opening on the same page then 1.
