    No to both. People will tell you that SEO is all about content but there is lots of great content out there that gets zero links.

    Content marketing is 20% finding the right content to write about (what is your customers' pain points), and 80% marketing it and putting it out there. I would say it has little to do with writing well

      crap with good seo, yes they may come. crap with good backlinking, and yes they WILL come.

      SEO is the science behind getting people to your site. Content marketing is the writing of articles that once you get the traffic there they will read and trust your content.

      An understanding of SEO added to content marketing, and it is those articles that will be your traffic draw.

    Content marketing is simply one method of generating traffic. There are many ways to generate traffic to your brand and build an audience however.

    The new wave of content marketing is heavily used to appeal to social media sites like facebook & twitter.

    Buzzfeed and upworthy although they are extremely gimmicky, understand what content marketing in this new generation means very well

    Alone content will do nothing but still contents needs first before you market it. A great well written contents with no marketing will be overpowered by some general contents with high marketing.
