I would say quite honestly first invest in redesigning the site. You can easily get a more legible and easy to navigate site design simply by searching for free themes on wordpress.

Next in order to generate traffic, there are literally dozens of things you can do. But the best bet would be to stick to one and scale it up. These include

-video marketing
-forum posting to relevant online forums
-twitter
-facebook
-tumblr
-pinterests
-paid advertising
-writing for article directories which have high built in traffic
-Leveraging web 2.0's blogspot,wordpress,blog.com

You have alot of work to do, that website page is not optimised in the slightest, your meta title is "lake tahoe" thats it nothing else, better keywords requiredm, need to optimise those images aswell, maybe add some interlinking between pages or sources, theirs alot you can do, but as it stands, that page is going nowhere at the moment

First, the website keeps on redirecting to the mobile version and its pretty annoying. Maybe you should fix that.

Once you fix that, add content. Update it regularly, optimize it for keywords and maybe throw in some social media on the side. Good luck!

Your site needs a redesign. The pic on the right never changes. There is a form at the end of content, that I have no idea what is it's purpose. When I explored around, I found an articles link, that has few links.

I am not sure you want visitors to come visit where they have no idea what they are doing. I would strongly suggest to get it redesigned from someone who knows something about your niche.

If your site is jokes and funny quotes just use FB and twitter.
Just share your jokes daily in your account and join FB group post it.
For this kind of site SEO is not 1st traffic source rather social media is the way to go.

If you have money, just buy some fiver FB/twitter sharing service.
