hello guys,

i have installed all in one seo pack and i want to know is it necessary to write title, description and keyword in all posts?
#search engine optimization #post #seo
  • It's not "necessary", but it does help communicate your focus to the search engines to some degree. I personally always complete the three fields with a unique title, but that's completely up to you. If your main focus is not SEO, then you're fine skipping it.
  • In
Preview Snippet windows this plugin already shows some preview how my post would be displayed in search engines so i thought it's was not necessary to rewrite settings. to be honest my main focus is on SEO ..

    • IF your main focus is on SEO? then YES you need to ensure the title the description and the content contain your keyword.

I think maybe you need to learn what SEO is before you start asking questions like this, and then saying SEO is your main focus. from my side of the screen it would appear you don't have a clue what SEO is!
  • savidge4 I know quiet a lot about SEO, problem is that you did not understand my question.
i want to know is it necessary to write title, descriptions, and keyword for all articles in the all in one seo pack widget which is located under the article section.

    • The problem is, you didn't ask the question correctly. "I am writing posts and use this plugin, do I have to include title, description, and keyword into each post?" THAT is how your question reads.

You are asking if within the plugin specifically you need to enter such data. well are you using the URL as the title of the page? Where might you be getting the page description if you are not using the space available in the SEO plug in? The keyword box.. well who really cares about that one right. no need check to see you can write decently.
  • I am pretty sure you SHOULD do it. It would be much better if you can place a keyword!
  • Patco and what about the categories, should i do some extra seo tweaks for categories as well ??

  • IF you want Post title bit different on Search Engine than you should post title, If you don't add post summary Search Engines will automatically show initial few words of your content, so if you want something which can attract visitor to pick your site from Search Engine than you should add post summary.
Post Keywords are of NO Use as they do nothing for SEO.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • Yes if your intentions are to optimize your content as much as possible then yes.
  • Wisden Writers and what about the pages and categories??

    • Well. It depends on what kind of pages & categories you are making.

If Your Pages are like About Us, Contact Us, Don't bother much about SEO or the general categories.
If you are planning to get ranked for the those pages/categories, Simply Put a SEO Friendly Meta Title & Meta Description along with Category Description ( Which will appear on your category page )

Again Don't add meta keywords, google don't consider them.
  • Like some others have said, it's not a huge deal. Yet why not? It always stands a chance of helping no only your search rankings but also your CTR
