I am experimenting with different types of videos to see what ranks in other search engines. Anyone got loads of traffic doing this?

  • I think you should focus on google titles and descriptions. Along with that, getting Comments and Likes will probably raise your rankings inside YouTube. Getting backlinks will probably help for the search engine itself. Never done it myself, but know some people make good money from doing it.

    • I get a nice steady flow of traffic to my website through videos. Even though I am able to rank many of them on Google, most of the traffic still comes from YouTube.
  • I often get traffic from youtube video on the website, I found this way is also very good and stable keywords in google

  • Hi,

    Title of the video can help you get good results and to get more traffic you can use social media to share your video among different communities.

    • Hi everyone!
      With ranking Youtube videos you want to ensure that you use the correct Metadata! Basic process- Metadata=Title, Tags and Description.

      Title=Keyword rich in your topic
      Tags= Well rounded keywords to bring people to your video
      Description= Short 3-4 sentence explanation of your video. Remember that you want it to contain your keywords and people will only see the first 3 sentences when they are looking for a video.

      I have found that using these correctly brings traffic to my videos and I also provide links to my website through the video. This boosts your SEO ranking. Always have links to your website and always use your website name so that in the ranking structure you will look more professional and appear as an authority in your niche.

      Good Luck.
  • I've ranked quite a few of them, most targeted for lower number of searches, or searches without regular video entries, but I think a lot of people around here miss the long term affect of Youtube. I have a competitor on page 2 for a really significant term and their Youtube channel, without any real seo work. If they tried harder, they'd have that thing on page one pretty quickly-
  • How much traffic you are getting for Youtube videos? Can you give me a rough idea?
