I know a lot of ppl in here go w/ Digg and SU for bookmarking their sites. But the thing is, IF you go about it the organic way, you'll want sites that will follow your bookmarks...and they would be BackFlip, LinkaGoGo, or some other dofollow sites.

How about everyone else - agree or disagree? Do you use Digg the nofollow site or a DF site like BackFlip?

I remain convinced that it is important to do both, for these reasons:
    1) We do not know for sure that nofollow sites do not influence Google's view of your site.
    2) If you collect large numbers of backlinks and they are all from DF bookmarking sites, but the biggest bookmarking sites such as Delicious don't have a single link to your site, this is unnatural, and in my view dangerous. So I include the biggest NF sites because that is where one would expect to find the links first.
    3) You need to think like Google. If you were crawling around the Internet and you found a site with links only from DF sites favoured by spammers and suspected of being self-serving, and another site with a mixture of links including NF bookmarking sites presumed to be only frequented by humans, which one would you give greater credibility to? It is hard to believe that Google grants no importance to NF links since they strive to reward anything that looks 'natural', and NF links look natural. When Matt Cutts was pressed on the issue of what happens to the link juice or PR that is not transmitted through NF links he evaded the question entirely. Maybe he doesn't want us to know?

It is better to have a link than not have a link. The only thing we know for sure is that nofollow links DO NOT PASS PAGE RANK. We do not know whether google indexes the link and regards the anchor text as significant or not, etc.

My own approach is to disregard nofollow and always create links, irrespective of whether they're nofollow.

It is said that nofollow links improve ranking for the anchor test used. But when did digg change to a nofollow type? It is easy to get nofollow links these days.

through nofollow we don't get any backlink but we can get some visitors. due to this I always prefer to submit my sites at some well known sites like SU
