Link building software help ?

1. Are people still actively using link building software ?
2. Any tips for local optimization ?
3. Is there any particular sites that are better for local seo , rss, article , web 2.0 ?
4 I have a massive footprint list but I don't want to scrape and waste a bunch of time for dead sites !
5. I have followed a lot of peoples help on here but I am still not seeing results, I am just looking to get local results, 1 of my sites has about 14 construction services, should I build links to separate service pages or just to the home page?
6. Are directories dead ?
7. Need more beer !!

    Below I tried to answer your almost all questions.

    1. Generally you shouldn't use any link building software, as it can invite Google penalty. I don't know about other webmaster but I don't use any link building software.

    2. Do business listing in Google for your services/products (all locations) using relevant keywords and categories.

    3. You should add your business on local business directories, and classified sites.

    4. You should definitely build links for all your services pages, using your primary keyword and secondary keywords as anchor texts. You should also use naked url and your business name while building links.

    5. High quality niche directories still works.

    You shouldn't do local SEO with any link building software because of risk of penalty, especially if you are doing it for clients.

    1) You could look into GSA SER which is popular, but you might wanna stay away from software as others have mentioned.. Manual is always the best in my eyes.
    2) Submit into Google Maps and Citation websites like Manta/Yelp/YellowPages..etc.
    3) Citations and Maps are probably two of the best for local SEO. You should still get some web 2.0 links going to.
    4) Scrape with what?
    5) You should look to expand and create hundreds of good inner pages which target local cities. For example..Say you were a plumber in Chicago.. You should have pages targeting "Chicago plumbing"..along with every suburb around Chicago.. "Lombard plumbing" "downers grove plumbing" "aurora plumbing" "elmhurst plumbing"...the list could go on. In the end, you'd have hundreds of differnet pages with unique content dedicated to services in that city.
    6) At this day in age, I think it's best to only focus on submitting into directories that have lots of good juice/authority. For example, DMOZ and Yahoo Directory

      I have built a big site all original content, submitted to every local directory possible, I am still stuck on pg2-6 for all my keywords, I am using Ultimate demon, I have a massive foot print list , but scraping takes time to build your data base for submissions, I just don't want to waste anymore time ! My competitors have used link building services and have pg1 results . I have followed every white tactic I can find and I am just not seeing results. I am willing to try different tactics at this point ...

    There are so many SEO software in the marktet like GSA Search Engine Ranker, Ultimate Demon, SeNukex etc. and many of Internet Marketers using these software for 2nd tier link building.

    But if you want to use these software for 1st tier link building then you have to plan for that. Only experience marketers can do that and they build links in smart way and no footprint use in 1st tier link building.

    Also remember that off site seo takes time. You cannot hurry it, even when you have done what you feel is the right thing.

      I recommend not to use any auto backlinks building software, or any such paid service, and you may invoke Google penalty this way, instead try to hunt for natural ways to build backlinks.

      For local SEO try build some High PR local forums or Websites backlinks. (still dependent on many factors including on-page optimization)

      Directories are still active, i recently did SEO one of my site including Directory submission and it worked.

    If someone is using software to build backlinks and is getting results...why would he tell you?
    Think about it... nobody is going to reveal his strategies. It would be as leaving footprint.
    If you find a way to rank your website just keep it to your self.

    Said that, why don't hire someone to do SEO for your website?

    Hi,

    Using link building software's are not advisable, avoid link building artificiality...
    This kind of link building will never stand for long term, this will show only short term result,. also you will get penalized for spamming.

    Backlinking software are just wastage of time and resources. Infect these kinds of software can ruin your whole SEO campaign because it considers as black hat technique. So if you want to get benefits of SEO you need to stay away from automatic link generators.
