Can you get traffic with a "1" before the domain name?

I would appreciate an expert answering this:

If I have a domain like 1AutoParts(.com), could I still get ranking for the search phrase even though it has a "1" in the front?

The reason I want to try a domain like this is that I have one with avg monthly traffic of 74,000 visitors. I'd like to try building it out and see if I can land the first page in Google but if popular opinion is that Google wouldn't like it because of the "1" in front, I won't waste my time. The site will be professionally built with legitimate content.

    That would be a good brand name for a site selling car parts, but you will have a tough time beating napaonline.com for the number one spot for auto parts (look at their backlink profile)

      I really don't think it matters but I would put the number(s) after the keyword.

        That's a good suggestion but the people that have the actual keyword phrase (a multi-million dollar company by the way) also have the domain with the one after it. I only have it with the 1 before it.

        So you think I've still got a good shot?
