Video not found by Google

As recently as a month ago, I've made short (1 min) videos, put them on YouTube, and had them found and ranked on page 1 of Google very quickly (within a very few hours, if not minutes).

Over 24 hours ago, I made a similar video and it still does not show up on any page in a Google search. It does show up on a YouTube search.

Anyone know why my video appears to be "missing in action?"

The video title is List Building Luxury if that will help.

  • Tell me one thing that have you stopped SEO for it? Or you did only one day SEO for it? If you want to see your video on Google's first page always, then you need to do drip feed SEO for it always.

      I did all the things I have done before regarding SEO. In the past, Google has ranked my videos within hours. The fact that this one is very much later is what puzzles me.

      In fact, it still is not ranked.
  • There might be other videos for the keyword "List Building Luxury", or your video is not indexed till now, or less users might have seen your video.

    • Thanks for the reply, Divya. Yes, there are a few (under 6) other videos for keywords List Building Luxury. There have been very few views. But with other videos, there were also very few (like zero!) views in the beginning and they still ranked well.

  • It can take a while for a video to show in google, just link any other link. when google crawls again it will pick it up.
  • It may be a dance, try building more links to it and wait for a few days until they get indexed.

  • It could just be that there is more competition for this new video you put up. Are you trying to rank for the term "list building luxury" or some other term?

    • Two interesting things happened:
      1. I made a new video. Google found and ranked it within an hour!

      2. At the same time I saw the second one on Google, the first one also appeared ---two days after it was posted.
      No surprises with the second one; it acted like they normally do. But that first one is still a mystery! I'll just chalk it up to "it happened" and truck on.

  • Because there are other videos for that keyword and there are other factors that decide if your video shows up on google or not. Youtube search is a different story than google.

    There is another reason. It is all hit and miss with youtube, sometimes you upload a youtube video and it ranks instantly without it needing any work and other times it doesn't rank instantly but does with some work and even other times, a video just won't rank.

    Relevancy also plays a major role in YT videos, what has your channel focused on for the most part. If the second video was different than the others you have uploaded then it will be incredibly hard to rank.

    Judging from the advice you are getting here, i seriously doubt anyone can tell you why your second video didn't rank. For example (or submitting the videos to webmaster tools.) seriously ? what will that accomplish ? Google owns youtube, they already discovered the video and they know all about it so i am really curious how submitting it to WMT will help him.
