Any Real Help With Getting Clients?

I'm ranking for several keywords for a local niche. My main goal is to rent out the site.

I've picked up the phone and cold called and everyone didn't want to even try to look at the site.

I also set up a FB ad and set it up so it's highly targeted.

So far nothing... What am I missing here? I need some real genuine help here.

If they don't even want to look at the site when it's already ranking, you're probably not selling it right.

Calling is the best way, but change your pitch because it's not working.

They're thinking I'm trying to sell them SEO. I don't think they know much about the search engines.

      Nice blog by the way

How are you picking the potential clients? Are those clients using Adwords or are they already targeting the same keyword but not ranking (organic SERPs)? Are they spending money on yellow pages or similar advertising?

Cold calling is tough enough, but cold calling people that don't care is even tougher.

Maybe try visiting the local business with a tablet & ask the client to search for a keyword they care about, when they say I'm right here at position #9 (or whatever) on the SERPs, scroll back up the search page & show them your ranked #1 for the same keyword. Wanna buy?

Also pay attention to when the business is busy & avoid those times of day, example, If you call a restaurant at 12 noon, they'll hang up or maybe even get pissed off because they're very busy & not in the mood to be playing around with cold calls.

I basically just Google my keywords I'm ranking for and go through pages 2, 3, 4, etc. calling up the businesses that aren't getting traffic.

That advice with the tablet is a very good idea. I'll use that advice next week if I don't get any clients this week. I just need one.
