Wix to Wordpress

I know it's possible (from what I hear) to migrate the content of my website from wix to wordpress. But can I use the same domain name or do I have to get an entirely new one?

As far I know Wix registers their domains through Website Design and Hosting | Domains | Website Builder | NetworkSolutions.com so you should contact Network Solutions and tell them you need access to your domain to change the DNS over to Wordpress.
