    Weight loss keyword has very high competition, unless if you target long tail keywords related to weight loss.

    High quality backlink from .edu or .gov can do the job if you want to target less competition keywords.

    Content is the King.. But don't forget that you can't expect to get even in TOP 100 for such a competitive keyword.. You should choose another (long tail!) keyword and start building QUALITY backlinks and NEVER SPAM!

      Pretty much agreed on the insane competition there. Long tail keywords, also write good or at least unique content in various lengths to appear as natural as possible but quality backlinks will get you there focus most of your efforts on that

      That is a massive niche, so you need to narrow down to a specific area and really focus on nailing that segment.

      If you're trying to rank for ' weight loss' you'll need tens of thousands of dollars at least.

    Your request is too vague. As others have cited above you need to narrow down the niche and start by targeting more lower competition keywords and try to rank for them.

    Weight Loss is a heavily competitive niche and will require $10,000s of dollars to make even a dint in this niche as stated by @sophuk.

    And always remember - have patience and do not expect instant top 10 ranking.

    The ranking totally depends upon the factors such as -

    1.Unique and Fresh content
    2.Proper on page optimization
    3.Authoritative Links
    4.Be active on top social media sites
