How useful is SEO if you're just one algorithm change away from falling into complete oblivion? Has anyone ever survived an algorithm change?

  • Nope. Nobody has ever survived. Nobody is ranking for anything anymore. Just look in Google. When you search for something... nothing.
  • Nothing, all bullshit sites rank better. I am sure Google will someday displays their ads only in searches. It is very hard to survive from their algorithms.
