How To Check Website is Made in Which Platforn?

Hi,

i am newbie somewhere to to SEO, and want to put steps in somewhere technical, So what my question is, I want to check one of my website on which i am working,

I want to check Website is made on which platform Is it .php, or on wordpress or any other platform ?

Guide me the way how to check it, so that i can move to further if required.

I have FTP details with me if it is is required for me .

      There's a "New Thread" button at the end of the thread listing of a forum. It's definitely not ok to hijack a thread, and this is probably the wrong part of this forum (app is not SEO).

    It's not always possible to see what tools they use, and some webmasters try to hide their tracks for security reasons.

    If you're just trying to see wether it's PHP or some other programming environment that information might be in the HTTP headers that get transmitted in the background. There's tools to see how the server identifies itself. Live HTTP Headers for Firefox is one. WordPress is an application running on PHP platform which is why it's not usually mentioned in the headers.

    For example, mine says "Server: Apache/2.4.10 (Unix)" and "X-Powered-By: PHP/5.5.19".

    There's tools that try to guess the CMS of the site. AmandaThomas pointed out one, and I think browser extension Ghostery also does this.

    However, the best tool is read the HTML source and see if you can recognize the CMS. Generator tag (in the head) is the easy way out, but often it's missing and you need to look for other signs.

    As someone else mentioned... Quickest/Easiest way for me would be to view the source code. By looking through there you can almost always tell if its a PHP/HTML page, Using Wordpress/Joomla or another CMS, plus all kinds of other stuff!
