outranking article directories?

I dont know that article directories are authority of niches from related articles that may position top of results.

But are article directories such as ezinearticles, buzzle, articlebase etc easier or harder to outrank than authority sites like wiki etc

That's a bit like asking if it's easier to outrun a lion or a bear.

Another way of looking at Wikipedia versus Article Directories, is to ask which one it's easiest to incorporate successfully into your online marketing activity.

My vote goes to article directories.
