Blocked Resources in Webmaster tools

Hi Everyone,

I noticed blocked resources in Google webmaster tools and I could see an affiliate link automatically listed there. It says 351 pages affected. What is the purpose of blocked resources? Could someone explain?

    There's a post here that explains a bit more about it - sounds as though it's anything that Google is being blocked from crawling.

    Basically webmasters use linked images, CSS, javascript files in web pages to make them pretty functional. If these resources are blocked from crawling then it can't be used by googlebot when it renders those pages for search. So, google webmaster tools includes blocked resources to find and resolve this issue.
    From this report, you can know the name of hosts from which your site is using blocked resources such as javascript, CSS and images.
