Is there any reason to use "and" in a web page title instead of "&" or vice versa?

For example www.site/Features & Options
www.site/Features and Options
#page #title #web

Google knows the definition of an ampersand.

1-2 symbols in the title will make it more attractive, so using "&" is good. But try to avoid stop words like "and".

Stop Words aren't what they used to be since the Hummingbird update.

In this example and/& is telling Google your equally interested in two things. Today Google will bold search query stop words on the SERPs, where that wasn't usually the case years ago.
