When to backlink a new site?

Hello,

I am just a beginner in SEO, that's perhaps my question may seem awkward, but I hope someone will respond.

I have a brand new site. I wanted to start looking for backlinks to it, but someone told me that it's not a good idea and I should wait for 2-3 month when the site becomes "older", so that Google doesn't suspect anything. This person told me that I should first do some social media activities (facebook/tweeter, etc).

What's your opinion?

Just keep writing and you will build backlinks but it will probably take 6-7 months to see much from them

I backlink from my PBN as soon as I'm done with the bulk of my content. I usually like to start out with a Press Release just so there's more activity out there and it seems natural to me that after you do a press release that companies would take notice and backlink to your website. So I often have some type of catalyst.

I've tried to do a press release for a local air conditioning company but no one picked it up. Are some press release companys that can guarantee that my content will be picked up? I'm a new at this and it sounds like you know what your doing. Thanks.

My opinion is whoever told you that has no clue what they are doing. There is no reason not to build links from day one.

As long as your day 1 backlink looks natural to Google, you should be fine.

If you can afford to build your own PBN you can start even in 1st day but very very slow.
Stay away from backlinks on actual PR1+ pages cos it will leads you to penalization very fast, just stick to the subpages of high PR websites, I mean subpages with PR0, even that you got PR0 backlink from subpage it has a power, slowly build such kind of backlinks ,after couple of months you may include high PR backlinks on actual PR1+ pages. The one condition is keep building backlinks from relative content pages only to not look suspicious, otherwise google will fast figure out you do it yourself and will slap you.

As soon as you want to start making money with it.

I've been backlinking to my sites since 2010. I get some content on the homepage (don't have to be perfect; I can edit), then I start backliking. When I get tired of backlinking, I put up some more content. When I get tired of that, I go back to backlking. Till I get tired of the whole thing, then I take a break for a week or so.

When I have all the content I want, I backlking till I get tired of it, then go do something else, then come back, then...

The whole pattern is set by me. The start day is set by me.

Google likes my sites just fine.

And why waiting? I would start from the first week when I have the content ready and some articles already posted.. There is no reason to wait 2-3 months?!?

Just do it. Ensure that your efforts are ethical to Google (a.k.a. white hat) and you can feel free to do massive amounts of it. Also make sure to improve your social media signals (e.g. FB likes, Twitter followers e.t.c. and retweets e.t.c.)

As long as the backlinks appear to be natural, you can get started right away after creating the site.

In the concept of site rank development you can start creating backlinks from first day after completing your site designing. But you need to create backlinks so that it looks naturally by the eye of google otherwise you will be punished by google penalty.

In this reason you can hire any expert seo service provider.

    Hi,

Building backlinks as soon as your done with the bulk of your content is absolutely fine. Contrary to what a lot of people think you can use large numbers of backlinks so long as they are great quality and you use them correctly.

In most of the cases I start building backlinks after 3-4 days. I wait for the index in Google and start making backlinks.

First start posting unique content on your site and 2-3 weeks later start building backlinks with the anchor text for which you want to rank for. Also include the keyword inside the content for atleast 2-3 times not more than that it will be considered as keyword stuffing.

Why on earth would he wait 2 weeks? What happens in 2 weeks that Google scratches its chin and says, "Hm. I like this site. I will allow the backlinks?"

Also include the keyword inside the content for atleast 2-3 times not more than that it will be considered as keyword stuffing.
No, no, no. It's not keyword stuffing because it occurs many times. It's keyword stuffing because it occurs out of place, for no reason other than the writer wants to use that keyword.

If you can write an article where the keyword occurs 100 times in 500 words but it makes sense to have the keyword occurring 500 times, it's not keyword stuffing.

So, OP, write your content without thinking about where the keyword goes, if you've used it too many times. Make sure it's readable. If it turns out you've used your keywords 1% of the time, you've done great. If it turns out your keyword density is 8.37%, you've done fine.

For Me Creating Back Links for Newly created web sites is just Depend on the Niche.

You may create Back link but don't create too many, otherwise bot will thought spam. Creating less than a 200 Links is enough.

But Keep Maintain This, Do not overflow with Back Links. like i just describe 200, but you can maintain 500 Backlinks too

You can start building quality backlinks for your website as soon as it is developed. You can also create backlinks after properly optimizing your website through ON page SEO and, then starting OFF page SEO techniques to build great backlinks.

Building backlinks from day 1 is not a problem. Google doesn't care if you start to build backlinks from the day you put your website online or 6 months after, what counts is that the backlinks are natural (as in, don't buy them) and, if possible, of good quality.

Before getting backlinks you do all the onpage works for the website, like meta tags, sitemap creation, setting up in webmaster tool, creating all the social media icons and mainly add adequate amount of unique content in website.

Only do 2-3 links every full moon and/or when a black cat walks under a ladder. Remember to hang the mistletoe in your lavatory, and don't forget to add 1% frog tears to your cauldron. This should shield you from Google's evil eye.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

      What's your excuse?

This is a good concept I came across. As google looks out for natural backlinks, the starting of building backlinks after 1-2 months of the website is a good practice. Looks absolutely natural. Good learning. Thanks for the alert.

What the hell is natural about that?

If you opened a restaurant, would you wait 1-2 months to promote it?

So, you're saying that if I build a brand new site, put a great offer on it and, the same day, I make sure the local paper prints an ad of mine for it; and if some John Doe sees my ad, goes to my site, likes what he sees, but not for himself, for his girlfriend's mother, so he posts a link to it on her Google+ page, that's unnatural?

But if I wait 2 months, then create a face Google + account, post something about my site, link to my site, that's natural?

If the links are quality, start building as soon as possible. There's no reason to wait around.

There is no point delaying or doing it right now as long as you are creating unnatural backlinks. Backlinks should be natural and that is only when Google will rank the website well.
