Hey guys,

I was wondering, I always hear internal links help SEO right?
So that means that if I make a lot of not important pages from which I link to my important pages does that mean those pages rank higher?

So I can make some really simple 1 to 200 word pages and from those link to my important 1000-2000 word pages would that improve rankings a lot?
Is there a minimum for google to count those paged for internal linking?

Thanks in advance

Unless you get external authority links flowing into the site all you have is a bunch of weak pages with internal links.

Authority isn't magic, it has to originate from webpages on the web that have strong backlink profiles pointing at the [exact] backlink page URL.

Well, technically yes, but it will be minimal since the internal 'not so important' pages don't have much authority and link juice in the first place.

If you're wanting to put so much effort into this, I'll recommend you either get an SEO agency or work at getting quality and relevant backlinks from other authority and related sites. ++ improve your social media signals. That will get you much more SEO results than the method you mentioned.

You can look at Google Webmaster (or any other tool that tells you how many times a page on your site is linked to).

Most would be your homepage, I guess: it usually is.

But you'll find that people, or maybe you, linked to some inner pages.

Linking from those inner pages that have incoming links to your money-making page will help your money making page.

Internal links help in seo because it distribute the page authority by different pages. It is helpful in seo.

You do understand that the subject is links from your site to your site? That it's you, as the owner of your site, that decides what kind of rel, if any, you add to your links?

You are thinking about the internal linking going in the wrong direction.

Think outwards in, down, then back up.

If your site has good backlinks into the home page (or other page), with the right internal linking you can have that authority filter through efficiently to interior pages.

The only thing non-authority pages can contribute would be relevancy.
