What is easier to rank article or blog?

When trying to rank on page 1 of google for a high volume low competition keyword is it better to use an article or a blog with the keyword in it?

    If you put your article on ezine then it will have more weight, unless your blog is popular. I am seeing that my ezine articles are on google's first the next day. I am sure that would not happen if I put those articles on my site.

        Doesn't matter. Google may not even crawl your site for several days. Again, it all depends on how popular your blog is. If you are just starting a blog then I would put all the articles on ezine and then on your site as well. Eventually google will start noticing your site as well...but that could take some time.

    It really depends on what you are looking for. like jkiley said the article would probably be quicker, so really if you are looking for long-term stuff then go for the blog, since you can do a lot more with your blog. But short-term would probably be the article.

    It depends on the age and PR of your blog. If you have a new blog, article directories with high PR's are the way to go. But, I always put my article on my blog and directories. I get a lot of traffic from article directories, but I am also increasing the content of my site at the same time.

    just make a blog entry which contains 500+ words..in that way..it is also considered as article

    It is easier to rank a article other than making efforts to rank a blog. Usually the blog directories are highly ranked and you will get more benefits from them.

    In My experience, Articles are the best, Especially publishing articles on EZA really works a lot than blogs.

    Why not post your unique article in a blog. Not sure why it would have to be one or the other when you can do both.

    In my many years of experience I've found that the blog is the better way to go. Articles are fine, but they're secondary to ranking my blog or site. I used to think that articles were better to rank because the site they were on already had weight and it would be easier to get the page ranked, then I realized I was burning too much effort getting pages from someone else's site ranked high and they were making money off my content, when instead if I did my job correctly my pages could out-rank the article directory pages.

    I always rank my site first, then help boost my articles second or third or whatever.
