Some SEO for ecommerce questions

Hey there!

Just wondering for micro startups running an ecommerce store, do you advice getting SEO by

1) Writing relevant content?
2) Uploading products?

I've noticed that most online stores don't write content, because writing content takes a lot of time and effort. Some grow big via spending a lot of money on advertising.

What do you suggest if you're on a budget, but still want to get visitors that convert? The site is below

  • If you have a budget you can go though paid advertisement by google , facebook. If you want trafric in organic way ypou have to work some SEO technique like blog posting, forum submission, press release submission.

  • Upload your content. Write about your product which is better to write on (another page or category of your site)blog. Promote your product on social sites. Better to give advertise on FB if possible then adwords.

  • It takes even more than what you're doing....

    1) Search engine friendly URLs
    2) Use Search engine friendly title tag/meta tags
    3) Write unique content for each of your products
    4) Add lots of products..the more you add, the more you can potentially rank for
    5) Build lots of good quality relevant incoming links to your individual product pages from other domains.

  • Here's what I recommend:
    - Facebook ads like mentioned by other posters above to increase brand awareness e.t.c.
    - To perform SEO for your highest profit margin products (with at least relatively high demand) and concentrate on them first.

    • List more products and to promote it still contents are needed. Have considerable amount of products and then go for advertising in Adwords, FB. Promote your products in social signals. You can even try with coupon &deals marketing.
  • Promote your website on business directories and promote your products in relevant websites. Content is still required no matter long content or short content.
  • Upload products regularly with relevant title tags and description, Do social media of product pages and spread product page on social channels.
