how to silo ecommerce website?

I have an ecommerce website with lots of categories and subcategories. WHat is the best silo structure for this? What do you link to and from on the homepage?

    It's still a basic silo structure.

    The only thing to watch out for would be using canonical tags on duplicate pages for things like product size, color, etc... That basically tells Google your not trying to spam out the site with duplicate pages & you have a preferred page you want ranking in the SERPs, the page/URL where all the canonical links are pointing (per each individual duplicate product pages).
