Hello! I have this tech blog and a few days ago I updated it with a fresh new article. After I made the new post, I sent it ( www.mydomain.com/fresh-new-article/) for google indexation via webmastertools --> Fetch as Google.

But today when I tried to get my SERP for "fresh new article" I noticed that in Google appears only www.mydomain.com , not www.mydomain.com/fresh-new-article/ . So I received a bad SERP because my keyword does not appear in URL.

I noticed that the last 3 articles that i sent to Fetch as Google , appear in Google only as mydomain.com/tag/keyword, or only as mydomain.com , and not as mydomain.com/keyword/.

Why is that? Can anyone tell me ?

Thank you!

Sometimes it takes time for Google to crawl your URL still wait some days. But if not then just ping the website..

    How to ping it ?

In fact, I found the url. If I just paste the URL and search it on google it finds it. But when I search my keywords, Google displays only mydomain.com, or mydomain.com/tag/fresh-new-article. Why it does not finds me mydomain.com/fresh-new-article ?

This way I have bad SERP even for very easy keywords.

I ordered 15 x 1.000 + words quality articles for very low competition keywords, hoping I will appear on Google 1st page. I already posted 1 article / day and until now just bad results. I received 50+ position on Google.

I will have to wait a few more days to see what happens. Maybe Google is busy with the latest "mobile friendly" update.

    Thank you.

if you copy the exact url into google and it does find it, it means IT IS indexed,
that you dont find it on the first page when searching for the keyword means it is somewhere on the second, third or hundreth page of google,

you need more backlinks to that specific url to get it on the first page for that keyword

      good luck!

But why when I search google for "post title" it finds only mydomain.com in 5th page, and not finds me mydomain.com/post-title ? It is more relevant mydomain.com/post-title , right ?

because relevance is only one part of the google algoritm and the search results that come out of it, it finds your homepage because it is older and has more backlinks than the newly created post, maybe after a few days or weeks and more backlinks to the post it will place that post above your homepage in the search results with that particular keyword

Indexing & ranking are two different things.

Do the search below to see If the new internal page is indexed in Google SERPs:
          • site:domain.com/exact-internal-page-url-here

Usually the reason a Home page shows up on Google SERPs instead of a new internal page is because you probably have the Home page setup like a typical blog where there's 10 or so latest post on the Home page. If the Home page shows a text snippet/title of the new internal page content, that's why it overpowering the new internal page on the SERPs.

The Home page has existing authority while the new internal page has zero authority because it's a new webpage/URL.

You need to change your mindset.

Just because you make a post, does not mean you should rank above everyone else. I don't care what "quality" your post is.

If you can't Fetch as Google in Webmaster Tools & see results within a few minutes on the live SERPs, well, you're wasting your time waiting.

If you can't index (don't confuse with ranking) with Fetch as Google, I seriously doubt all the backlinks in the world will help.

I'm still not sure you understand the difference between indexing & ranking pages, they're two totally different things.

Without seeing your URL all we can do is guess what's going on. As far as we know it could be something as simple as you running a noindex tag in your HTML <head> (If indexing is even a problem).

But I said that my url is indexed because If I search the url in Google it finds it. Or if I use site:mydomain.com keyword, it finds the article.

I think you have sent your articles to google and then edited the articles which made google put you in sandbox, this is normal it needs sometimes to appear with keywords you did.

Otherwise sometimes it takes two months to appear in the first pages. and if ti is with low competitive keyword need some time and backlinks to appear first page.

try site:yoursite.com if you find your link there then it was indexed, if not then wait for a few days, just keep on updating your site. On the other hand, please be reminded that if you post a new content and searched on it on the web then don't expect to see it instantly on the top of SERP. It is not as if you don't have competition.
