Keyword rank checkers would not give you accurate results . The bots of such tool may affect your IP so i personally suggest to track your keywords manually . You can use any proxy tool so that you may not get any cookie affected results.

Serplab.co.uk is a FREE rank checker tool that allows to track upto 600 keywords. I'd rather suggest to check the keyword rankings manually online because these tools wouldn't give 100% accurate data.

That is an incredibly dumb waste of time unless you are only tracking 5-10 keywords. And if you are only tracking 5-10 keywords, you are doing something wrong.

I have one client that right now we are tracking 367 different keywords for across 4 different search engines. Go check that manually.

Checking manually will give you just as inaccurate results as rank trackers will. Your results are impacted by your IP address, just like the results the automated rank trackers are checking.

Google today gives varying results across different regions. To be honest, rank trackers should just be used to spot trends in rankings versus pinpoint accurate results. You will never find pinpoint accurate results across all regions.

I hated SERPBook. I saw wildly inaccurate results with them.

I like SERPFox, except I think their reporting sucks. If you have to give reports to clients, you need something that looks better than that. I've been using Rankwatch for a little over a year now and have been happy with them. They do a little more than just rank tracking though. Only complaint with Rankwatch is that sometimes their user interface is a bit slow and clunky.

I've been using Link Assistant's Rank Tracker with a bunch or proxies. It's been pretty accurate for me even though the proxies are not from my home country. As MikeF said it's more for seeing the trends and the direction that the visibility is moving.

Even though this setup work reasonably well, if I needed reliably running daily reports I'd choose a hosted service.
