  • "Web 2.0" is overly broad and silly marketing term. Depends on what you're looking for.

If you're setting your own blogs the links are technically speaking "do follow". However, the sites don't have any link juice.
  • if for example i create a blog on weebly and create some article on it with anchor text to my wordpress blog , is that will boost me on seo ?

    • Only if the page has backlinks pointing to it. You can get around this limitation by building tier 2 backlinks to your web 2.0s since new web 2.0 pages don't have any backlinks.
  • you can put your link in twitter delicious digg stumbleupon and facebook.

    • Sure you could. You could also carve your domain into a tree, spray paint a wall
      and graffiti it as well.

Both of those would give you the same amount of backlinks that you would
get from twitter, delic, digg, stumble, fb,..that is, zero.

I don't think 90% of the folks here know what that means.

And that's a pity. Well, not really. Why should everyone be let in on the secrets?

  • create free blogs for your business, then it is very easy to dofollow backlink from that kind of free blogs
  • Web 2.0 sites are blogger, wordpress, weebly and more. So first write quality content and make sub-domain within your keyword like keyword.wordpress.com.

After you created your sub-domain then put your content their with anchor text like keywords and link to your website.

So Google whenever would crawl your sub-domain which is you made, they will count your backlink from web 2.0 website that may help you achieve your target.

Always Remember, Don't try to make fast backlink or spam otherwise you will get penalty from google.

I hope you understood and whatever in your mind Please ask me.

    • It's a backlink, but if you leave the project at the stage that you describe it doesn't bring any value to your money site. You're just setting up a link scheme that passes no Google juice.

Not for the money site. It's an old method to use these "web 2.0" sites as a sort of "buffer" for tiered link building. I'd consider it fairly risky, but you have to get those backlinks somehow.
  • What makes you so focused on do follow links from web 2.0 sites?

Well said by Paul and he also teach you how to be more artistic.
    But in the end. Nothing.
  • For this first you need to create an account on any high PR dofollow web 2.0 sites. After sign up just create a blog. Now just give simple design to your site. Then just create a post and write a article about five thousant and publish it. After then make sure Google will index that high PR dofollow web 2.0 sites backlink so you need to ping that URL and also trying to share that post on top social networking websites, like Google plus, Facebook groups and also much other contents sharing websites. That's it.

    • No, that's not it. At this stage you've got a new website that has no backlink profile of its own, and that is therefore useless for link building. You've only got a handful of nofollow social media links to an article.

What do you propose as the next step? Do you plan to fire up your spam tool of choice, go for Fiverr, get some juicy backlinks, write some shameless link baits, or what?

Remember, your site doesn't get any help from that "high PR" front page that the blogging service has. They're not linking to your site.

"Web 2.0" means interactive sites and user-generated content. Most sites that fall under this silly old marketing term (coined up in 1999!) only allow nofollow links. As they should.
  • Web 2.0 produce do follow backlinks, unless it is manually edited to make the links 'no follow'. Maintaining a Web 2.0 platform for building links is the ultimate way to promote your website and rank keywords in search engines.
  • Most Web 2.0 submission gives Do Follow Backlinks + drive traffic to your Website!!

  • Web 2.0 basically means build a site. In terms of linkbuilding, it means creating a natural looking site that has content that hopefully gets indexed and a link to your own site.

The key advice I'd give is NOT to create it purely for a link. Look at it as part of you main site. Build links to it, put quality content on it and encourage it to be trusted.

    • But that whole site doesn't help link building unless you generate backlinks to that "web 2.0" site. If the site doesn't have backlinks it doesn't matter one bit if it looks natural.
