Guest post link building: dofollow or nofollow?

Although Google said to avoid guest post but most of the SEO experts are still getting better result from that. I am also thinking of starting guest post on regular basis. So, I need a little bit advice from the experts and advisers.

What kind of backlinks should I give back to my blog to stay safe in case of guest blogging?
Dofollow or Nofollow??

    The reason that SEO experts are getting better results from guest posts is because they give value to the audience. But not only that, they share it and engage with other audience through different social media portals like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and so on.

    I would suggest that for building backlinks to your blog, I would consider you to build Tier 1 links like EDU and GOV sites, wiki links, Web 2.0 properties, press release distribution sites, contextual links from related sites with high PR and aged domains, and so on. For sure, these sites can give you more link juice, and don't forget to ping each backlink you create.

    Better results of what? Traffic or rank position?
    Backlink from guest post with nofollow attribute would give good traffic(result) but not better rank position. But if you are talking about rank position, how you know that they are getting result from their guest post?

    If you have lot of good information to share, then why to choose guest post? Share it on your own blog. Having lot of quality content on your blog would give you great result in future.

    Nofollow, reason is already given by you "Although Google said to avoid guest post".
    Guest posting for purpose of link building may harm your website ranking. If you are willing to post your information as guest post, I would suggest you to stay safe with nofollow link.
