I have spent all morning creating a list of fantastic backlinks. Yes I could outsource this and one day will, but for now I'm learning the basics and backlinks is the one of them.

However in my offline business we work very closely with our competitors and suppliers (yes competitors too) because we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

I'd be keen to set up a backlinking powergroup were each month, no more than 10-20 users send their backlinks to each other.

Each set of links wouldnt be over subscribed as the members of the group all understand the benefit of this.

Anyone interested pm me

Why would you work with your competition - if they are in the same niche(s) as you are? Maybe I'm missing something.

I work with some of my fiercest competitors in my offline niche's. We dont compete for exactly the same things. We 've developed a solution that creates a tremendous win-win and a revenue stream exceeding $1.5m by doing so.

In the right scenarios it can be lucrative

In the context of this thread and backlinks - where, pray-tell, might these links be derived from?

          niche is Insurance ...

Big media advertising for huge multi national conglomerates doesnt always drive THE targeted traffic they can handle - we accommodate for them the prospects that cant meet their profile underwriting criteria ... until they do meet their criteria.

Imagine being an allstate agent and one of your best clients starts a new business that you cant insure for him. You want that client out on the street taking alternative quotes from an unfriendly competitor, or do you want to steer that valued client to a "friendly" competitor who can handle it and wont cannibalize the rest of you business with said client?

Imagine a strategic relationship with hundreds of agents like that - where their big media ad buys send them prospects by the score - 30% they cant handle.

There is always much to be gained by working with people, and networking. Just the fact that we all congregate here and exchange ideas has helped all that use the site. The team is ALWAYS more than the sum of its parts. i will never forget the day that was proved to me. I will not explain it here as it would take up too much room. But usually the most successful business people are the ones that build the biggest network.

As 4morereferrals mentioned, we don't compete for exactly the same products, but if the sh*t hits the fan with our machinery, they have the same and can help out.

If they have too much design on at a time, I spend a few hours helping with things.

Backlinks will be derived from the usual sources! Research, research, research.

    The plan is this:

Each member finds 10 unique backlinks per month, these are forward to each other and kept to ourselves.

So 10 users (which wont raise concerns with admins) will have 100 effective backlinks per month

There's 2 of us in the group now.

    More welcome

I'm being very strict with the quality control. If its a duplicate or not better than pr7, then they are not accepted and you must complete ten to get the other members.

Kind of like a pyramid scheme for backlinking.
