Google Search Engine Integration to Wordpress website

Hello guys, i recently had a conversation with a friend and he was telling about Google Search Engine integ to websites. Both are not so sure how this is gonna work with the website. Basically this is how i want and my requirement,

Its a podcast website with videos also, the website will have multiple categories, so it will be a great solution if the search results are made so quickly and easily, since google has already became father of search tool,

Have anyone used this google search tool to their website? how customization the search result looks are? are they user friendly?

  • Isn't it any official code to integrate a Google Seach? By the way, why don't you make it search in your website only? Everybody can go in Google...

    • My thoughts exactly. Don't send people away from your website, offer them the chance to find what they need on your own website!
    • I think OP might be referring to Custom Search Engine by Google. In that case you're not really sending people away, just having Google's results about your site listed on your site.

      I have no idea how this works, though. WordPress solutions have been good enough.
  • kool thanks for replies.. I assume the google search integration to the wordpress will make the site more indepth search to specific keywords, posts, podcast episodes etc and also i guess that it also helps somehow in google search?? maybe if i'm not mistaken..

  • No we are not sending people outside our website. from my knowledge what i understand is google again helps us to search things deeply within our website. it does not show any results of other websites in mine.. foe eg: lets say i have some 100s of blog contents in one area of the website, 100s of podcast episodes and 100s of videos hosted, each will carry tags, keywords, text content, images etc., now since the site is heavy with contents i thought Google search integration makes it more .
