When a company has a low number of traffic (between 100 - 150, mostly trough SEO/SEA), what are the biggest optimizations this company can do to double those numbers?

Like Elon Musk says:

"I think most people can learn a lot more than they think they can. They sell themselves short without trying.

One bit of advice: it is important to view knowledge as sort of a semantic tree — make sure you understand the fundamental principles, ie the trunk and big branches, before you get into the leaves/details or there is nothing for them to hang on to."

So, what are the trunk and big branches?

    Hi Thet

In regard to generating B2B traffic for your site, the trunk and big branches (or fundamental principles) is firstly answering three questions:

    1. Who your ideal customer is (persona)
    2. What challenges do they face (pain points)
    3. How can I help solve those challenges (content)

Once you have this knowledge you have the necessary ingredients for driving relevant B2B traffic to your website, by implementing a content strategy which nurtures visits into leads, leads into qualified leads and qualified leads into sales.

The content you create should match both the interests of your ideal customer and the stage in the buyer cycle they are currently in. For example, if they have never heard of your company, then they are unlikely to be interested in a case study you have written. However, a blog post about a common pain point your target customer experiences might be be effective at generating a good flow of relevant traffic to your site, particularly if it is well optimised for appropriate keywords.

If you have already done SEO on your site Thet, implementing a content strategy such as the one I outlined above will ensure you get more relevant traffic to your website. Over the last 6 months we have manged to increase our website traffic from around 500 visits a month to over 2500 visits a month by using such a strategy.

Content really is king as the cliche goes. Although it takes time, the results are well worth it, in leads being generated.

We recently wrote a blog post which outlines an experiment we ran to determine the amount of content needed to generate a lead. You can read more about is here http://hubs.ly/y0Pb9R0

Please let me know if I can be of any help.

    Al

Why do they have a low number of traffic?

Are they going for keywords with too little traffic or are they not ranking high enough for the keywords they're going after?

Are the keywords they're going for the kind that people who're looking for what the meta description and title and url promise?

One thing I would say is...ADD MORE CONTENT!

If you're getting 100 hits a day right now with 20 pages on your site..Try and get that up to 40 or 50 and you could very well hit 200+

To get quality traffic on your website first you need to focus on your customers and product according to their need.

  • Hello thet

To add value to the B2B traffic you must contact the right target customers; take the side of the customer to correctly identify the problem to be solved; produce valuable content (also free) to help you solve the right problem that you identified earlier.
