Amazon Affiliate Site Resurrected?...

Hi guys,

2 years ago I was trying to make it big with the Amazon Affiliate program and micro niche sites (like most of us were) until google released the updates that destroyed our sites...

Well over the past 6 months I've noticed one of my sites is started to really grow in terms of earnings... Whatever I did, I did something right with that site....

Anyways, I was kind of experimenting back then with being an Amazon Affiliate and didn't really put to much thought into what I was doing or recorded what I was doing for that matter...

All the sales are coming in under the same affiliate ID but Amazon doesn't tell you where the traffic is coming from..

I gotta find out where this traffic is coming from... Is there a way you can think of that would show me exactly where this traffic is coming from? I have webmaster tools setup but really don't know how to use it. Does google webmaster tools clearly show you where its coming from?

Any other ideas?

Thanks guys and any help is appreciated

JT

You should be looking at the google analytics dashboard to see referral sources.

If you do not have anayltics setup you are missing a huge part of your overall picture.

You can pm me if you have any questions about how to do this.

Thanks for the help.. I'm looking for "referral sources but can't find them". I found the dashboard on the left but it wants me to create a new one.

I feel like a grandpa that is having trouble sending an email...

I'm looking under "acquisitions" and it only tells me whether it was direct, organic, etc.

Have you had analytics on the whole time?

You should be able to filter the dates of this recent increase in traffic.

Then find the bulk of your traffic source.

    Go to Acquisition>All Traffic>Channels.

You'll see this and click on the sources, they will tell you exactly the search term or referral source.

Thanks to the both of you for the help.

So I went to Acquisition - All traffic - Channels and it looks like the majority of the traffic comes from "Organic Search"

When I click on "organic search" it gives me keywords yes but the #1 keyword is listed as "not provided" and thats where the traffic is.

Is there a way to find the exact page they came from like a URL instead of a search term? Or if I lookup my sale in Amazon, can I find out where the last impression on that page on my website directed it from?

Thanks guys, any advice is appreciated
