Hi,

I dugg my new site on Friday and I am still not showing up in googles index?

I also submitted via webmaster tools and it still says site not indexed.

(tried site:domain.com)

It also seems the page rank bar is showing grey on the seo book toolbar for firefox

The site does have affiliate links but all the content etc is unique.

Is this normal? my other sites pages (blog) are indexed really fast when dugg normally?

I am worried I have been banned? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

It's only Sunday. Chill out. Sometimes mine take a week to get indexed, sometimes they take a couple of hours. It all depends on how Google feels that day. Don't panic.

Dimebag, same thing is happening to me. Launched site on Friday, Have 6 goarticles pointing to it. A Blogger and hubpage lining to some of the articles and pinged eveything once.

Also a series of backlinks (about 4 per day)

Not showing, but I'm not too bothered yet.

I was just wondering about the whole google stamping down of affiliate sites thing?

I may aswell continue to build backlinks and sit tight and see how it goes.

What are the options if a site does get banned?

          build another ... ????

highly unlikely its banned unless its just piss poor and keyword stuff with dating and porn or something rather heinous!

How do you know its NOT indexed?

          Setup any google alerts?

One of the fastest ways to get a site "indexed" by google is to put a keyword based anchor text backlink - right here in your Warrior Forum signature. One of the reasons you see so many of them.

Ping it with pingomatic and pingler

bookmark it ... digg / technorati / jumptags / deliscious / yahoo site submit /scuttle plus ... socialmarker .com

          Socialbot software from big mike

convert the html url to an rss feed url and submit that to rss feed aggregation sites - feedagg.com feedage.com

build backlinks like a mofo ...

            site:mydomain.com ?

It was mainly due to the recurring topic of google wiping out affiliate sites that I was worried about more than anything.

            Thanks for the tips

Without any alert message how can you say that you/your product banned?
Have you received any message like this? If not, then don't worry and do the actions which are quoted by 4morereferrals

patience is the key. It took me 2 months to get listed and then i was shocked to only get 10 - 30 hits a day. 3 years later, i managed to get up to 1200 - 2000 unique hits a day with my geneaology website. try everything you can, backlinks (pay if you have to), write more articles, use RSS builder for fresh content. One hidden gem is USFREEADS (i got 12,800 hits in 6 months to one of my sites) - write a simple ad!

My letdown was a useless sales page for conversion - damn marketing! you nail traffic SEO but then you have to nail the conversion page as well.

Google's wiping out affiliate sites? Or do you mean the adwords quality score thing?

Don't worry too much about getting index, just keep building High quality links. If you keep building links, your site not only get index, you will rank well with your targeted keywords!

Just continue your work, don't wait for Google, believe me, it will show. Just get more backlinks to your site.

It's probably to early to be banned. But you can check by entering your URL in the searchbox at Google (yourdomain.com) and it should be the first listing. And you can also check your stats program if the Google bot has been to your site, I use Awstats. If the Google bot doesn't show up you've been banned (don't ask how I know Also I believe the affiliate problem was for the recurring billing programs on the content network not the search network.
