So to summarize, i have updated the robots.txt, have an xml sitemap, put in my efforts for keyword reseach; google has crawled and indexed my site......

the only thing of course is that my site is crappy looking;

2 questions

1. for selecting low competitive keywords, such as 1500 visits per month for a particular article, I would have expected to get 50 visitors per day daily??
isnt that how it works? those are the words i targeted for. I am only getting views under 40 visitors a day; the most i have ever gotten was 36 and for today so far just a measley 11.

**note I havent done any other type of marketing but just seo in general; that means no social media, no email marketing, etc.

2. Why am I not seeing any results with adsense; all I am seeing is 0 views and this is actually even I think is a joke earnings based only on CPM and no clicks 0.03 cents.......definitely a joke for sure......

  • Just because you created a site does not mean you deserve to rank for it. It doesn't work that way. There are plenty of other sites trying to do the same thing.

    Also, the search volume has nothing to do with the level of competition. 1,500 searches does not mean anything. I don't know where you came up with that 40 visitors a day thing. Sounds like someone was selling you a pipe dream on that one. That would be about 1,200 visitors a month. Even if you ranked #1, and I am guessing you are a long, long way from #1, you would never get 1,200 visitors a month from a keyword that gets searched 1,500 times.

  • If you are not visible on first page of google, then it's hard to get number of organic search pageviews so it's not that if you have 1500 total searches- means total 1500 visitor - they normally click on first 3 link and rest depend on rich snippet.

    If you got 30-40 pageviews, it may be due to your internal linking. Adsense is calculting very real traffic so may be due to this, you get 0 pageviews in adsense. Always google analytics and adsense both are having different number of impression. You need to work hard. Best of luck and happy earning

  • lol, trying to make bucks out of Adsense. Well, you will get 70% traffic of the monthly searches for a keyword if you are ranking on top.
    If you want to make money out of adsense do off page SEO for your site. Try to make back links in forums in your niche that will bring more traffic and visitors. You will have to build a large no. of links for the same.
    I had a adsense approved website, I was getting damn low traffic and so I started with social media and then with SEO for traffic and now getting 2k visitors a day and 5-15 clicks a day 20$ a day is minimum I am making out of it.
