how can i check ranking . should i manually check in search box for every keyword or use a software or seo tool.how to remove all history before checking the ranking

  • I'd say use both methods as well as cc-cleaner.

    First check ranking with a tool. Run cc-cleaner, then go manually search to validate the ranking provided by the tool. It only takes a few seconds to do this.

  • It depends how many keywords you are tracking whether or not a tool makes sense. I prefer online tools like RankWatch or SERPFox versus desktop tools. Most of the desktop ones are a pain to get accurate results when you are checking 1000+ keywords.

  • Pro Rank Tracker also has a good option to check ranking. I am pretty confident with it!

    • yep i have using for my Rank Checker. the Most liked option is it will send daily report to my email.

      but the said thing is am not a PRO Member. so have a lots of restrictions.

  • Use rank tracker but also check manually sometimes. I recommend ProRankTracker or SerpBook.

  • no need to clear the history of the browser. when you have checking the ranking you can open private browser they never show the result in search history try it and tell me wats your experience
  • I prefer manual check on the search engine for accurate and best results.
  • Most free ranking checking tool are targetted to major Google engines like Google US, UK, Canada, etc. If the target country is not that popular, I'd rather stick with manual checking.

  • I actually prefer to check this manually. Just go to google.[extension] and search for the keywords you're tying to rank. You'll see the results "live", just like your visitors would.

    • It's a good idea to occasionally check if your SERP tracker gets correct results, but it's pretty easy to just get things wrong. Personalized results, cookies, wrong search, search engine settings... Good SERP tracker at least keeps the parameters the same so the results are consistent.

      I'd also recommend a decent hosted service. Link Assistant's desktop tool has been reliable, but it's getting really frustrating to play with proxies. Also, I don't like to keep checking that the damn thing is actually running.
