How do YOU outsource your SEO?

Hey guys,

Thanks for reading this post. I appreciate your time!

For the past few months I have been buying Angela & Paul's backlinks and have been sending them off to an outsourcer in India that does the linking for me. This is great because for 80 (more like 60) high PR backlinks only cost me $13 for the links package and $40 to my outsourcer.

However, I have been noticing that the results over 2 - 3 months haven't been stellar. One of my terms is doing well hovering between #1 and #4 on the front page. However, my other two top terms have gone backwards despite all of this linking.

Recently I was approached (via PM) by an outsourcer who said "I can get your site top 3 in Google:

The charges differs for both the keywords as the current position and total number of competitors differs.

So, I have some options for you:
1. To get your site to TOP #3 for both keywords, the cost will be US$800.
2. If you want me to get your site to TOP#3 only for "xx xxxxx", the cost will be US$300
3. If you want me to get your site to TOP#3 only for "xxxxx xx xx", the cost will be US$550"

So I'm wondering if any of you use an outsourcing solution like this where the outsourcer gets paid to get your a certain ranking. I've never tried anything like this before. Is this a better strategy than angela and paul's backlinks?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

~Sean

    That's interesting.

Do you pay him if he doesn't succeed?

And how long will the site stay in that position? What if it goes away after a week (or a month)? It's very hard to guarantee these things.

If they could somehow be guaranteed, and the ROI is good - I would go for it.

I would also find out what he is planning to do so that you don't get your site penalized for using black hat techniques.

Go for backlinks not rankings. Backlinks are things you can see, getting ranked can be pseudo science. Might take longer to rank but imho it's safer.

I'm curious...how could backlinking be safer than real onpage seo?

Onpage seo can be controled and malipulated in the correct way...backlinks can't because you do not ultimately control it. Don't get me wrong...I use backlinking too. Just as an enhancement to my seo stuff.

BTW - did you know that you can optimize your wp templates other than a half designed plugin? (just food for thought)

Give me a copy of your template with the css and i'll show you. Just the original will do cuz I'm just going to show you how.

But...if you tell anybody...i'll have to come to your house with All my kids...you really don't want that.

I'm sure you already asked for a list of sites that he has optimized in the past 3-6 months.

Then let one of us here at the forum evaluate his work.

Maybe use an escrow and allow increaments out as work is completed.

I know I wouldn't be giving you a guarantee like he's got unless you were in a unsaterated local niche.

Top #3 on a global....nah...no guarantee there. That would be a blant lie.

  • We have never outsourced SEO, but sure would love to. The danger here is at $13 - how credible is your out sourcer? The backward rankings could come from linking in bad neighborhoods and generally black hat strategies.
