How do you place your anchor text or seo links?

Footer site-wide and no-follow
Article with unique content + link
Main page with direct link (without the use of no-follow)

...plus, would you create a two languages content blog?
For example English website ...with some Greek text links?

If I'm renting/buying a high PR backlink from a webmaster I want it to be contextual + dofollow. I like my backlinks on the sidebar/middle of homepage but the footer is ok.

Sitewide without no-follow added may ban your site for black hat...isn't that so?

Generally, those people have a lot of other shitty things going on. For example, it is a footer with links o 20 different, unrelated sites. That looks like a link scheme, so yeah, that could be an issue.

Footer links are low quality links. I have no idea why you would want them anyhow.

So a direct link sitewide on sidebar isn't bad? :O

It's a low quality link. It isn't always bad, but it is not really all that valuable either.

There is more to it than just saying sidebar links are good or bad.

In context links, relevant links, and links closer to the top of a page (sidebar links are at the bottom of the page just above footers in 99.99% of sites).
