Will keywords within a keyword phrase be optimized effectively

If, for example, in the title tag and H1 tag of your home page you use the keyword phrase "Texas hill country land for sale," and assume this phrase was rarely used in Google searches. But segments within that phrase "Texas hill country" and "land for sale" were highly used and recommended for optimization.

Would the fact that the entire phrase "Texas hill country land for sale" was rarely used negatively impact the two highly used phrases within that phrase Texas hill country" and "land for sale"?

  • I doubt it'll negatively impact, and it's not a bad idea. You'll get a partial match on those phrases for sure.

    Make sure you write naturally and make use semantically similar phrases throughout the article - and remember to implement the same thing in your image tags, which is quite often overlooked.

      Also, regarding my post, would it in any way benefit the segmented phrases "Texas hill country" and "land for sale" if the whole phrase "Texas hill country land for sale" had more search queries?

    The answer is No, there's no negative impact on the two individual keywords (Texas hill country / land for sale).

    With that being said, it also doesn't mean you're going to rank for those two keyword phrases.

    You still have to optimize for both keywords & can expect to have stronger & probably unnecessary competition considering you're heading towards generic keywords (Texas hill country / land for sale). Generic keywords like land for sale won't convert into sales like land for sale texas, or land for sale houston texas.

    No, there is no negative impact on the two single keywords, but done so to include not mean you go rank; keywords are pretty generic, usane more specific.
