Advice Needed on 3 Domains

Hi, I am about to purchase 3 domains.

.com,
.co.uk, and
com.au

But I only want to maintain content on the .com domain. I want to purchase the .co.uk and .com.au for greater chance of ranking in the UK and Australian search engines.

Can you please let me know the best possible way to do this from a SEO point of view. Is it a case of doing a redirect from these other domains to the .com domain or is something further required.

Please advise on the optimal way.

    Redirecting them to the .com probably isn't going to do it. If you want the .co.uk to target Google UK and the au to target Google AU then you may need to think about doing some development on those. You'd also want to get links coming into them from other domains in those same extensions. Finally, add each site into Google Webmaster Tools and set the desired location on each one to their designated countries (this should be done automatically if the domain extension matches the country)
