backlinks in 2017

seo is dead, marketing is dead, but backlinks are alive and kicking.
now certainly we all know that its too late to try and figure out a backlinks plan for 2016, but i think if we put our heads together we can put together a solid game plan for 2017
i will start the ball rolling, as they say:
i believe very strongly that tags will be the key to backlinks in 2017. i think we should come up with a comprehensive list of tags that are working well now and try and determine which ones google will still favor in 2017. i think the bamboo tag is an obvious winner.

  • Your plan seems a little shortsighted. I am working on backlinks in 2065. What will Google favor 50 years from now!?!?! So I will be relevant and on top of things, and beat Google at their own game!!!!!

    I'm considering making heavy use of backlinks from MySpace pages as part of my 2065 plan. What do you all think? Of course, I will be well over 100 years old at that time, so I need to factor into my equations failing eyesight and typing with hand tremors.
  • I am already taking screenshots of my sites, printing them, scanning them again (obviously) and making them ready to be faxed automatically at January 1st 2017 to Google.

    • This was part of my strategy too, until I heard that the last of my friends who had a fax scrapped it. It just doesn't work for this local market.

      I'm thinking of sending the scanned faxes via multimedia SMS. This way also hides your footprint, but NSA still get's to rank you in their "suspicious activity" index.
    • heres a pro tip:
      send them to google around december 23rd 2016 and mark them as being for 2016. they wont have any submittals for 2016 at that time and will get right to work on them.
      so youre probably saying, 'how does that help me for 2017??'
      well my dear friend, the submittal date is key. 23rd december, they will get it and be ready to work on it, but then theres the christmas holiday and then the week between christmas and new years aint nobody gonna do any work there. so it wont get done til they come back from new years, which will be 2017 and you will be ahead of everybody that waited til jan 2017 to submit. you will have a huge headstart on everybody else in the world really.

  • I can understand your concerns to some point, but you'll have to understand that no one knows the future of anything for sure, let alone of SEO. You can plan ahead all you want, but if it was that easily predictable then anyone would do SEO

      dont you agree that backlinks and tags are here to stay? internal nofollow links and bamboo tags in particular?

      i sincerely believe you should alter your perception of the future reality and consider for a moment that facts that are before our very eyes

    • And here I've been close to giving up on Warrior Forum as a resource for SEO info! No way now. This list is a goldmine I tell ya!
    • I think I pretty much understand everything in the list, with the exception of the bamboo tag. I'm struggling with that. Bamboo would be related to Panda, as it's the Panda's main food source. And Google Panda has to do with poor, or thin, content. So I know I need to to make use of this tag in a way related to content. I'm thinking maybe I'll replace all "p" (paragraph) tags with a "bamboo" tag. Pretty sure that would make every paragraph - all my site content - look like quality content to Google (or to "Big G" as we SEO experts like to call Google)!! Hello top of the SERPs, here I come!!!!

    • This is all seemingly too good to be true. Everything is falling into place. The Chinese Zodiac doesn't list the Panda as one of its 12 animals. The so-called "official" calendar, anyway. So this must be some real secret, insider information!! I do appreciate this newfound knowledge, I just hope you aren't violating some kind of non-disclosure agreement with Google or the Chinese government. Don't want to see such a helpful person get in big trouble!!!!
  • If you are leaking info, I do understand. I have a bit of the "thrill seeker" in me as well. I might head over to my local Panda Express (love the "Orange Chicken" dish) and flirt with the server to see if I can dig out a little more info on this. She acts like she has no clue about SEO, but I'm quite sure that's all it is - one big act. I'll keep you guys posted!!!
