It is really easy to promote yourself when you have a very uncommon orr strange name. but what if you have a very common name. how to promote yourself on search engine that when anyone search by your name your details come on first page.

    In order to promote yourself, you have to engage with other people who are having the same interests like you. I think you really need to build your brand by simply giving quality content and value to your readers. Although it is going to be a long process, but it is going to be worth in the end. Your website or blog needs to look very attractive into the eyes of your readers. Build a Facebook fan page, Twitter and other social signals for your own personal website or blog. It's the way to start getting results slowly but surely. Some good examples there are the likes of John Chow, Zac Johnson and other well-known bloggers. Try to browse their website on how they really make a name for themselves.

      Good 1st post and you just need to focus on this one niche for an extended amount of time to start getting repeat visitors. Social media is a slow process when starting out but eventually you will gain new followers and start getting a lot more shares and backlinks of what you have to offer. I've been blogging for about 7 months now and have been starting to get a lot more visitors from Twitter, Google Plus & Pinterest. Be sure to add a follow button on your site 2
