I think google plus is the best place to get back-links from google. I use it quit oftenly to build links, It's effective so far.

You have a misconception of what backlinks are and their relationship to google.

You can't get "backlinks from google".

Google indexes backlinks which point to your site to rank it for relevant search terms according to the backlinks it indexes.

You can get backlinks from a variety of ways including forums, social bookmarks, web 2.0's and social media.

From blogspot(Google service) also you can get a baclinks. Make a blog and give link in blog (text backlinks) you will get backlinks.

Step 1: Find sites or resources that have changed names, shut down, or moved.
Step 2: Find sites linking to the old page.
Step 3: Give them a heads up about their outdated link.

you can use google operator to search backlinking sites for social bookmarks, web 2.0s etc. best way as well is there google alerts which is very useful for following threads and commenting

Getting "backlinks from google" isn't going to be any more or less effective than getting backlinks from insert_random_website_here.

If your google+ account page or google site has a lot of inbound links, then placing a backlink on it will be effective.

If you just created your google+ account or google site, then placing a backlink on it will be relatively worthless.

If you get a backlink from an official google blog post or something though because you just won the lottery... well then... that's different. But I wouldn't focus on trying to make that happen if I were you.

Back links are links that are come from another websites. You can not get back link from Google. But you can check your back links using Google's webmaster tool.

Build some good web 2.0 sites and link back to your site, that will help.

And Paul gets his back links from his pillows....
