Who uses actual buffer websites and NOT freebie web 2.0's? (This is not about PBNs)

What the title said. And by "buffer sites" I mean legit lead gen/sub-niche focused/client branded sites, not PBNs.

BONUS: Who ONLY links to client/money sites with their buffer sites and only sends backlinks to the buffers - like a funnel or magnifying glass?

  • You had me on everything except client branded.

I have 3 separate operations, BH, GH, WH and in the GH operation I do use what would best be described as "Lead-gen/Sub-niche" sites to funnel PR through as well as general traffic (Clicks + Email List)

So, what exactly is the question?

My sites are essentially extensions of the client/money site. Nothing to hide like a PBN. It's like providing a specialized/focused area of their business somewhere else online.

Just to be clear what you mean is you are creating these buffer sites and ranking those to send traffic to the client sites or to generate leads off of directly instead of ranking the client's sites?

      Actually, both.

In order to protect my client's site, I create controlled buffer sites (much like a PBN, but this is out in the open, branded, etc.) I do send some social proof links to the client site, but all other links are from my buffer sites that, in turn, I send lots of backlinks to.

Of course the obligatory local citations are linked directly to my client's sites though.

I do and I created an entire guide on how to do it, it is free on the War Room, look for it with my username, if you have questions PM them to me.

I dont share those things on the open anymore because the quality if the discussion is very low and I have gotten 2 "Warnings" for god know why lol.

What's the difference between a buffer site and a freebie web 2.0?

If they are quality, useful and have links built then they can both rank and have value - so why pay ??

Because it looks like a "get ranked quick" scheme if you use a freebie blogger or wordpress site. It doesn't look like you're "in the business" that you're supposedly trying to give a better user experience with.

Unless you are experimenting with a ranking strategy that poses the risk of a penalty it's pointless to do this. Google ranks pages not websites. Creating pages that cover "sub-niches" on the same site is just as effective as creating a site dedicated to the sub niche.

For example, if your site is about widgets and you have pages that discuss the shapes of widgets (round, square widgets) and then create another site specifically for square widgets and then create pages on that site discussing colored square widgets (red square widgets, blue squared widgets) it would have the same results as if you created those pages on the original site IF ALL YOUR SEO TECHNIQUES ARE THE SAME ANYWAY.

Remember, you backlink PAGES not entire sites, it's just most people point their backlinks to their homepage. Point them to the pages you are trying to rank, not just the homepage.

and if you DO create a sub-niche site then you would be a fool not to acquire an expired domains that already has a healthy, existing backlink profile to begin with rather than a fresh domain...and guess what? You are on your way to a PBN...

This is off. Internal links like you're proposing don't work near as well as off-site BACKlinks that do the same thing. It's a vote outside of yourself for Google to determine level of popularity/usability.

My method protects the money site at all times while providing vetted backlinks and juice.

Your method and mine will not receive similar results. You're just making a website and hoping for the best.

I didn't mention internal links in that entire post.

Yea, you mentioned pages on the site linking to other pages on the site. That's "internal linking."

Again, I did not say mention anything about linking/internal linking. I said pages part of a website (not necessarily linked to the homepage JUST part of the same domain) as opposed to creating a separate site focused on those pages.

A page is a page whether its part of this site here or part of that one over there. How is your backlink profile (not internal linking BUT backlink profile as in links from OTHER sites pointing to it) for THAT specific page? Hows the content on that page? That is what matters not the fact that it's a whole different site.

Creating a separate "buffer site" as you put it is pointless unless there is some reason to "buffer" as in an SEO tactic that can risk attaining a penalty.

            a page is a page.

I have a few buffer sites, but try to use other sources to link back to my money sites. Music sites are actually a very underused source of high PR backlinks in my opinion
