SEO: The toughest Job on Planet

The seo job I found the toughest on the planet. We in seo learn a lot and use good and also bad means to rank better in search results. We do the hard work of learning the act and bring websites up in rankings. Then suddenly Google rolls out an algorithm and most of us go at the starting point. This is interesting but can be very stressful at some times. Even they who use good techniques in seo will agree with this. They too have somewhere been panalyzed by Google. The success in seo is like melting ice in our hands. What are your thoughts about the seo job??

Well, this particular industry happens to have a huge black box, but it's just another information intensive field. The basics haven't really changed in years, and the major changes are either spam algorithms or something like mobile search. I'd guess that stuff changes about as fast in some fields of computer programming.

If you mess up in SEO, it's not like people are dying or something. There are fields like that too. A friend of mine was a UI guy in medical field, and even they had requirements that were strict as heck.

I would think that diving in a huge open sewer is tougher. Saw this in telly. Apparently there's not that many guys who can even be paid to do that.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

SEO is surely one of the toughest jobs in IT. Why? Because the work done by optimizers is dependent upon what Google does and a slight mistake can be tough on the website of clients/businesses. So, a lot of thought and careful planning has to be applied in this field as this is an ever changing process. Then, there is the question of paid marketing and how businesses wish to come on the first pages instead of through organic search.

Yes you are right SEO is one of the toughest job, Because in any other field you can make a effort to complete your work. But in SEO your effort is depends on Google crawler.

If you look at SEO in this way, it is probably because you think the basis of SEO is about manipulating your site's keyword rankings.

The problem is the majority of internet marketers believe this is the "real way" to do SEO. Instead of seeing ranking for keywords as a means to an ends, most internet marketers see this as the definitive way to generate traffic.

When this is ironically one of the most risky way to generate traffic and time extensive since it is so random and there are so many variables that are out of your control.

You are right. Never you will get your final destination. Even If you bring your site no 1 on google search, still you can not stop your job. Someone push you behind if you take some rest. SEO job never make me happy. Don't love this job for me.

Same with everything else. You're a builder? You finish building a house, you have to start another one, or no more money.

You are a barber? You finish cutting one guy's hair, you need to start on another's, or no more money.

Hey! That's how I dood it when I started. I'd bought me a couple of great manuals (aka WSO's) and they said to search for the term in quotation marks and, if there's fewer than 1000 results, I'm good to go.

They also said to not bother with keywords that have no more than 5,000 "broad' results without quotation marks searches as anything over 5,000 broad results has too tough a competition.

So, I found me one of them keywords. Built a site, got it to be #1 and got 13, count them, 13 visitors a month... It was a site for AdSense (highly recommended by the both WSO I bought). (Also, one of them suggested I do squidoo lenses... What was happening clicked a couple of weeks into things, when I saw that this person was selling squidoo pages at $345 a pop and higher...

But what of all the people who didn't happen upon the WSO's writer squidoo-lens-selling website?

Well if they didn't impart on the WSO and Squidoo stuffs they would be left with organic traffic that stop. Left in puzzlement why "their" page is not getting rank in after 6 months. how much longer should must they wait?

They write 3 Billion word articles with stuffed URL's and then they need complete information on what is next step. and the next step? start conversations on quora? or high PR back linking - how can one find?
