Hi folks i have a big confusion about crawlers and Latent Semantic Indexing.

And what would be your confusion?

Crawlers crawl, indexers index. LSI is something that a Google search can describe better than anyone on this forum.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

A crawler is a program that visits Web sites and reads their pages and other information in order to create entries for a search engine index and Latent semantic indexing (LSI) is a process to identify patterns in the relationships between the terms and concepts contained in an unstructured collection of text. LSI Keyword having the same meaning but different words like synonymous words. I am showing an image from where you can understand better about LSI.http://72gpf1za5iq428ekh3r7qjc1.wpen...4/image672.png

That image does a lousy job of explaining LSI. Although that particular search does demonstrate LSI to some extent, what is highlighted in the image are just synonyms. LSI goes way beyond synonyms.

On a page about mortgage, LSI will deal with words like:
        refinance
        mortgage insurance
        first time home buyer
        FHA
        VA loan
        PMI
        home owner
        borrower.
If you have them. If you don't, it will not consider your page a good candidate for queries about mortgages.

So, when writing your content, write like people talk, don't put the keyword in 77 times per second.

        Don't write:
You want a mortgage? A mortgage is a type of loan where you give a bank a mortgage note and they give you a mortgage loan. To get a mortgage you must apply for a mortgage with a mortgage broker or a bank.

        Do write:
You want a mortgage? Depending on your situation, you have options: conventional loans, FHA loans, VA loans and many more. All lenders have DTI (limits on the amount of debt to income ratio). So, find out what your DTI is (what loan amount you qualify for), then go looking at houses. Doing it the other way around will just break your heart.

Depends. Does the keyword belong 77 times on your webpage?

If no, you're stuffing. If yes, you're not.

      Hi Raxix,

Thank you. As per the discussion what i understood is that we can use spinning tools for content rewriting right! But still i am bit confusion.

      For example:

      Before Spin,

Inverselogix Company is offering SEO Services in affordable prices. That will lift your website into a higher ranking in top search engines.

      After using spining tool,

Inverselogix Company is putting forth SEO Services in reasonable costs that will lift your site into a higher positioning in top web indexes.

So, my content will not affected by LSI. Is this right Raxix?

LSI has nothing to do with spinning.

I'd refer you again to the Google search. I'm not trying to be rude here, but there's several very good articles about LSI. You're way better off with them than the random and at worst very questionable explanations on this forum.

Why do you ask people to do such hard things? Have you no heart? No shame?

OP, Nettiapina gave you a good answer. If you look at my post #5, you see an example.

The short of it is: in each industry, niche, endeavor in life, people use certain words. Some are synonyms, some are not.

In my example in post 5, I gave you

              the mortgage field

home loan is a synonym for mortgage loan

other words that fall under what interest you here are:
fixed rate, adjustable rate, first time home buyer, refinance, real estate agent, appraiser, property insurance, property taxes, leaky roof, bathroom remodeling, FHA, credit scores, credit report

They are because they occur when people speak about mortgages:

people need a mortgage because they buy a house; to buy a house they often use a real estate agent

they need a mortgage because they want money to remodel the bathroom or the kitchen or both

              the FHA insures mortgage loans

you need good enough credit scores to get a mortgage

some are buying a home for the first time, some are refinancing their home.

Think of it as: what words must you use, besides your keyword, if you were talking to someone and explaining the subject matter you picked the keyword for.

Crawler: A web crawler is used to collect data from internet. When a crawler visit a website, it collect copy of all visited pages and store in a database.
LSI: Stands for latest semnatic indexing, which means when you're searching in search engine for something with a keyword of "FOOT" then it'll show all the related words like Football, footage, footer etc.

Hope these definitions will clear your doubts.

LSI means the search engine will index the keywords with the same meaning like picture, photo, images.
Put this keyword in the google search - "earth images"
Your will find those words in bold form.

Latent Semantic Indexing is an indexing and retrieval method which plays a vital role in the document indexing process. In SEO, it provides the best results for the query being posted in the search engine by the site visitor with LSI-indexed database looking at similarity values being calculated for each of the content word.

Crawler is a program that systematically browses the World Wide Web in order to create an index of data
