      Anyone with:

"-Google+ for better rank in search engine optimization-

AddMe In Google+ Increase Banklinks TodayHere."

in their sig, does not even know what a backlink is, let alone what a 404 page is.

So tell us what a 404 page is.

I'll tell you now, your OP question doesn't make a bit of sense.

404 is broken link/page not found
as far as I understand you've got backlinks which lead to broken pages, in this case you can redirect: broken link to working link (this often happens when you change your website url structure)

      ROTFLMAO!

You can't get backlinks from a 404 page, and you can't
get backlinks from search results. Period.

If your server gives a 404 error, google does not crawl the page.
(I can only assume that's news to you!) It stops the bot in its tracks.

You ask an idiotic question, for the rest of the forum?!?!?!?

      You are clueless!

Now go and do some research as to what a 404 ERROR page is,
what it does, and what it is used for!

If google is giving results, for a page that does not exist, then your
site has problems. Perhaps not fatal, but it has indexing problems.

Problems that could be cleaned up with robots.txt in some of these
      cases.

But that has zip to do with backlinks.

If anyone clicks on a nonexistent page in results, they get an error page.
Now you could create a custom 404 error page, linking to other sites,
      or forward it. No backlink!

You have no idea what a 404 error is, nor do you know squat about
backlinks. I pity the people spending Rupees for your expertise.

I believe OP might be trying to say, how do you use the broken link method for getting backlinks.

If that's the case, Geto, once you find a broken link on someone else's site, you figure out what content it linked to and you recreate that content (if nothing like it exists) or create a better one (if that content still exists).

Then you contact the site owner you found the broken link on and say something to the effect:
Hey, on page xyz of your site abc.com, you have a link that I clicked on and it took me nowhere. Seems you were trying to link to an article about DEFG. There's a great article on that subject at this link: newLinkDomain.com.

If you do it often enough (and your way of contacting, i.e, email message persuasiveness) is good, you get a bunch of links from types of sites you select.

If that's not what you meant, I join Paul and Yukon et al.

If this is the thing that DABK explains, there's a recent post about someone's success with it. Just search the forum for "broken link building".

Doesn't really match the OP in my opinion, but whatever.

    1. Find a 404 page (you can use check my link chrome extension)
    2. Check it's backlinks
    3. Then talk to web masters that having backlinks to that 404 page.
    4. Tell them to that page not available and i have a page related to that niche. If you can please replace that to my one.
